@c5news: “Bro, this is nuts!” Runners faced an added challenge during a half-marathon on Sunday - flash flooding. Video from the Racefaster Half Marathon in Paramus, New Jersey, on Sunday shows competitors wading through water mid-race. "Bro, this is nuts!" said runner and ex-Bachelorette contestant Zac Clark, panning his cell phone camera back to himself after showing water surging up towards his waist, while another runner is seen holding on to railing alongside the trail.  Another competitor, Garrett Nathan, has told how he thought he might get a PB during the race with weather expecting to be good. But, when the race was delayed two hours, things changed and he started getting flash flood alerts on his phone. When the race began, Mr Nathan said he was already soaking wet and “you couldn’t even walk on the grass”. He told NYC New York: "And there really wasn't any, like even on the way back, after crossing like five or six river crossings, you can call it, it's waist deep, chest deep, holding onto the railing. I was like, 'are they going to like change the routes for us at all?'" No injuries were reported. Racefaster organisers have not commented on the decision to let the race go ahead. #5news #runners #flood
