Sometimes, when I’m in a flare up, “pushing through” looks like a shower and a bowl of cereal. I’ve pushed through more at those times, but it always means more days of recovery.

9+ months and counting: I still have intermittent nerve issues from pushing it in January. My power assist died at a convention and instead of calling it a night I pushed myself figuratively and manually for another hour or 2. I had tingling in my hands any time I used them for 2-3 months. now it comes back when I overuse any part of my arms

People don’t understand what “a bad day” feels like. For People with chronic pain, a good day for us is a bad day for people without chronic pain

sometimes I just look at people who say these things with dead eyes and don't say a word. other times, zi come up with something sarcastic, using their own personal situations to repeat what they said to me thinking it might be relatable enough for them to stfu 🤣
