I always just filled it with another jug of fuel fill it to the top of the filter once you start it itll suck down to proper level. never ever had an issue doing it that way for years regardless of engine

put a glad hand grommet on top, seals better and pulls the fuel up faster 🙂

you over filled it. supose to go to the bottom of the filter and as its consumed ( clogs) the level rises

I used the ole glad and method..is that a paper casing covering the filter element or metal casing covering the filter element.
