I take the NCLEX next month and I’m scared of med surg but at the same time I feel like it gives you experience.

Definitely depends on where you live because where I’m at the hospitals don’t hire LPN’s AT ALL, the nursing homes are mostly where the LPN’s working at… at least where I’m from.

It depends on the state. They JUST started hiring LVNs in hospitals in Cali and only as breakers for the RNs

That’s my mindset! I’ve always been told not to go to the hospital but I’m more for skills rather than money and like you said I can pick up a shift on agency 🩷🤏🏽

Purrrr sister, me too! I work at a smaller hospital to the most patient I’ll ever get is 4. But I love the experience because I know once I get my RN, the people hiring are gonna love my experience as an LPN med surg nurse

Yes I did this 4years as a Lpn working med-surg, then went back to school my last year I went to rehab facility & having that med-surg experience definitely helped. Just graduated with RN last month working CVICU. I will never work med-surg again though lord Jesus. Going to the hospital was the best decision I made as a Lpn
