Muslims in the Philippines have divorce under Sharia Law, which is legal and lawfully recognized. there are some indigenous people who practice divorce but is not legally recognized by the Philippine government.

Philippines, because every time the divorce is being discussed in congress/senate, the catholic church publicly denounce it😔 and politicians are scared to antagonize them because of its influence on the majority of voters w/c are catholics. Sad but true.

Our culture taught us this “Ang pag-aasawa ay hindi parang kaning isusubo na iluluwa kapag napaso" In English — “Marriage is not like hot rice that you can spit out if you get burned." .. It’s sacred and the Lord honors and blesses union where no man can separate. However, it is also wise to pray and wait for the right person. In this generation, only s€x matters. Rational thinking comes later, when it is too late. That’s why most suffer from an abusive marriage. A piece of advice — put God in the center of your marriage. Involve God when choosing who to marry. I mean nobody said life is easy, it is difficult with or without God, choose someone who will try to work things out with God’s guidance.
