I’ve failed more times than most people have even tried. I’ve had crazy highs in my life and some insane lows. But the biggest things I’ve realized are: your value is not your job, and you are more than just the thing you’re working on. But it’s impossible to let opportunity into your world when you’re holding on to life so hard. You can’t hold on to water with a closed fist. The number one lesson I’ve taken away from these past eight years is that you need to loosen your grip, detach yourself from the outcomes, and let opportunities flow to you. Because the life you want is right around the corner. But if you’re too focused on what’s directly in front of you, the opportunity will pass you by. And I know it’s scary, but you have to let go and trust that your foot will land in front of you if you take the step. sometimes your brightest days are waiting right after your darkest moments. You just can’t see them from where you’re standing. Rock bottom is actually a pretty good place to jump from. I’m not special. I’m just someone who never quit.
