Can you please cover perimenopause and what are some options to alleviate the symptoms? I’ve been debating whether or not to even go to the doctor my biggest fear is they just tell me that there’s nothing they can do so I wanna be educated before I go in

I used to get UTIs all the time and always thought number 5 was the cause… then got with my now husband who is almost OCD with how often he showers and I learned the UTIs weren’t from what happened after intercourse, it was from the guys I was with not staying clean enough. 🤢

Pap smears, endometriosis, myomas, adenomyosis, menopause, peri menopause and how to avoid UTI. #5 truly helpful, as I’ve aged, has to be vaginal estrogen

I never have to pee after sex and don’t get utis. But my bff who use to have utis all the time found out her ex husband was with multiple partners as well as her. So when they separated they stopped for her

I never even heard of perimenopause until I read an article where Mayim Bialik said that she was in it. I looked it up at that point. I was already in my late 40s. How is it possible that you can not know about something that will happen to you? Why is this not taught while we are still growing up?

When I was a teenager, I was in horrible pain. My mother told me that that was just part of being a woman and to suck it up. Years later, I was diagnosed with PCOS.

I asked my NP about perimenopause and she chuckled and said it starts after you get your first period when you're a girl. Completely blew me off.
I don't go to that office anymore. id rather find parking downtown at the other office.

it's so validating to hear someone finally say these things out loud, especially about cramps and being dismissed 💔 i used to think my pain was just normal too until i started logging everything in the Endora app to see my symptoms more clearly. it really helps when you have something concrete to show💝

#5 is actually a thing for me. I notice a difference. but thats me. like you said, its not a bad idea to do, but for most its not a "dont do it and get a uti" thing.

I never pee after sex and have never had an issue, personally. My friend has a different life experience. Whatever makes us all feel comfortable.

There is also someone else saying that there is not a lot of research on the peeing after sx. Which I believe because women are under researched. However there is a lot of reallife experience of women that have noticed it helps. I think I will believe in this "old wives tale". But I do think it is okay not to hurry :)

I get a pap yearly for the past 5-ish years due to starting at a gyno office and getting the initial one and that one being positive for the two concerning strains of hpv. then I had to get one yearly until it was negative or "normal" abnormal results. then got another one due to getting my IUD removed and then another 1 year postpartum before getting a new IUD.
also, odd topic that I'd love to see talked about, having painful cysts rupture frequently but not having PMOS (PCOS) and only having tbat solved by getting an IUD.

#3 was me at 24. I got told to pop out a couple of kids and it would go away. Female Dr after 6 Dr's gave me the right medicine to help with the cramping so I could be functional.
