If I bought what she has, it would be $17.10 in Canada. If I was making a struggle meal I wouldn't buy tater tots, I'd use potatoes. I would not buy chili, only because no one in my houseo eats kidney beans so we're just using cheap beans in tomato sauce and I'd buy brick cheese rather than shredded making it an actual struggle meal for $8.97 saving myelf $8.13 so pretty much getting to eat another day. Honestly, if you're struggling and using processed food and if you can (don't live in a food desert) get rid of your processed foods. It's the most expensive and unhealtiest way to eat.

When I was freshly divorced - I used to make “white trash casserole” 2 boxes of Kraft Mac and cheese with 2 kraft singles and a pound of ground beef mixed in. That was 20 years ago and my kids will ask me to make it …. I tried to explain they can make it but apparently “it’s not the same” I was just trying to feed them with what I had and accidentally created a core memory 😂
