they've already ruined their shot at this happening with Kyle Chandler being so old. hes either dead or retired by the end of this show, and Gunn himself said he doesn't even like Kyle rayner, so unfortunately, green lanterns in the DCU are gonna be incredibly lame compared to their comic counterparts.

I feel like they’re fucked because Kyle Chandler is an older guy, by the time they get around to making the movie he’s going to be like 65-70, and that’s if he even surviving by the end of Lanterns. If they rebirth him, what are they going to do, recast a younger Hal? Even if he’s goated, it’s going to constantly be compared to the chemistry Kyle Chandler had and how good he was (the whole reason we even wanna see Hal Jordan continue past Lanterns) and it never being the same as the og. Just setting themselves up for hurt if they ever wanna do anything with Hal past Lanterns
