It works with and without you literally didn’t watch all show at the beginning it was explained like that but then it was also stated that the user can infiltrate his chakra into someone cranial nerve to put in genjutsu and everyone has cranial nerves and we saw sauske doing that to a dinsour cyberborg who didn’t have any chakra cause sauske tried to put him in genjutsu first but it didn’t work then he put his chakra into the dinsour cranial nerves and put him in genjutsu. Also another thing you misunderstood the infinite tskyumoi doesn’t only take the chakra it also takes the spiritual energy of people and earth

but there's a genjutsu user that uses it own chakra to force he's target to fall in genjutsu even the target has no chakra evry one who poses sharinggan can force their own chakra to put on the targets nerves and makes them falls into genjutsu that's a high genjutsu level, btw when kaguya landed on earth no one has a chakra all of them has no chakra then how did Kaguya put them into infinite tsukuyomi if they have no chakra?

infinite tsukuyomi is the only genjutsu that doesn't require the other person to have chakra as the sage of six path was the reason people had chakra yet the infinite tsukuyomi worked on people before the sage other genjutsu requires the opponent to have chakra

y r every verses scared of genjutsu. jiraya made that statement becuz he assumes anyone without chakra is not a living thing or dead since everyone in the verse has chakra including animals . if we r talking about some cross verse battle then they will have equalization all energy will b similar, that is ki and chakra will b same , u people r banning a verse ability for fair battle ?

first KAGUAY didn't take Chakara from Humans ONLY genetics information lol😭 plus only SHINOBiS can use Chakara lol plus yeah Chakara can work beyond Verse and you can't undo strong genjutsu's with Chakara disruption like Itachi ksukuyumi SHISUI kotumatsukami and infinite ksukuyumi

First of all. Chakra is a compound. Its a mixture of two independent energies. If you have both then you can mix them to make chakra. The SOSP literally went about to teach people how to mould chakra. Therefore this suggests that no one apart from the otsustuki and their descendants could use chakra before this. (Thats why the story of chakra in Naruto starts from the godtree fruit periods). Now Kaguya put every living thing in Tsukoyomi before they had chakra. Izanagi(or was it izanami now) makes reality itself a genjustu so unless reality restarts it own Chakra (which doesn't exist btw) or the target having chakra isn't a mandatory requirement. What I think is that just like how ninjas invented handseals to help mould chakra into ninjutsu as a crutch (We've seen people use ninjustu without weaving a single sign), they took the path controlling the opponents chakra to use Genjutsu (probably because rhey don't have the necessary yin Energy potency??. iono)

its simple chakra is the source of life/energy in naruto just as ki is the source of life/energy in DB because if you run out of chakra in Naruto you die just as you die if you're out of ki in DB so whatever type of life/energy that is used in a particular anime is the same as chakra but in a different name which means Gengjutsu can work on anyone with a weak mind if you're strong minded it won't work on you hope everyone understands me
