Since you’re a first time cat owner I would advise you take the bell off or take the thing that makes it ring out of it. Cats have sensitive hearing and this will stress them out.

aww you got a weird one! Shes self soothing by pretending that shes nursing. usually cats who were separated from their mothers too early will do this, but sometimes theyll just do it regardless. Mine did it too, except she actually sucked on blankets and left wet spots everywhere.

Mine uses a blanket. I also had one that used my ear like he was nursing, but they always make biscuits too.

It’s called needling. It’s where it gets so happy that they start doing what they did when they were kittens and trying to suckle and need. It’s just a really intense form of happiness.
