the whole thing of parents constantly harassing child free people is just pure jealous in my opinion, they're just mad they dont have the life a child free person does if that makes sense, child free people are constantly on their minds !

I don't know why people always have to take it to the next level in the comments like it's probably okay to get on here and leave a comment saying yeah I agree with you but it is unnecessary to say how selfish it is to have kids or how wrong it is it's not that it's wrong or selfish it's what's best for you doesn't matter what anybody else thinks or does if you want kids awesome if you don't want kids awesome. there are benefits to having kids and there are benefits to not having kids that's why people have such a hard time making a decision on whether they want them or not because both have good things about them and both have bad things. if it was an easy decision everybody would make the same decision.

My sister had a baby earlier this year and was genuinely shocked at how much thought I put into bring childfree; I told her I made a pros and cons list, researched health complications, long term financial projections for cost of time off for FMLA and overall cost of raising a child, what the division of labor would look like, and how custody would work if my husband and I got a divorce. She said she didn't put nearly that much thought into having a baby, she and her partner startre trying to conceive just because "they really wanted a family" but didn't do any long term planning for it

What's so interesting is that people who choose/chose to have kids view those without kids as "selfish", when infact most of the reasons for people having kids are often quite selfish

I absolutely hate when people ask me if my partner also doesn’t want kids. Like of course I wouldn’t be with someone who wants kids, we would be incompatible!
