@dadzietv: Government has announced that US$2 billion has been set aside to finance the Accra-Kumasi Expressway, with the funds reportedly sitting in a special account at the Bank of Ghana. The government says funding will not be a problem once construction begins, with contractors expected to be paid promptly for certified work. It was also emphasised that the money is Ghana’s own funds, sourced from taxpayers, and not borrowed funds, with the full financing expected to be available by the end of the year.
