Emylee Thai—on the run since 2022—has been arrested in Vietnam after allegedly participating in a massive Medicare fraud scheme involving more than $100 million. This marks the SIXTH capture from the FBI’s new Most Wanted Fraudsters initiative in just three months. Collectively, those captured are accused of more than $2 BILLION in fraud and spent more than 4,000 days on the run before being taken into custody. Thai faces charges including conspiracy to commit health care fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States. The FBI is now working with our international and federal partners to secure her return to the United States. Our message is simple: You can run. You can cross borders. You can hide overseas. But the FBI does not stop hunting.
