Think it utter nonsense. Just let the poor children look forward to there lunches for some its the only hot meal they get. I work in a school lunchtimes are rushed as it is to try get them outside. the portions are small already

How do we expect out kids to be happy with no cakes, desserts, pastries. We never used much food at home so jam sponge and custard at school was astonishing to me.

Will the schools monitor wastage, yes the kids need to eat healthy meals but they also need to monitor if kids are actually eating or else this will impact on their learning.
