The point of this video is just to outline how some medical students choose careers other than clinical medicine. Theres nothing wrong with that! And yes, they can still call themselves “doctors”

He also got a PhD. You forgot to mention that so when he says he’s a doctor, he is both an MD and a PhD. It’s not like he failed out or forgot what he was doing. He had a mission and a goal.

He holds an MD & PhD, he’s a doctor. He might not hold a license or practice, however he has the education & I think according to the AMA he can be called a doctor for having an MD.
