Babel and Intermezzo are both highly rated novels. I labored through Babel (that second half was a sloppy end to a concept that started very strong) and then Intermezzo's turn came...I just thought it wasn't worth my time.

How do I do this? I was reading East of Eden and you all know that East of Eden is a great book! however, I had to stop reading it because I simply didnt care for anything happening. I was about 40% into it, but after 2 months, I had to drop it. I can only read fanatsy, but I want to be read something classic too!!!
