My biological mother gave me away as an infant to a man she knew wasn’t my father, he didn’t want me either, so he gave me to his sister and her husband . When I grew up and got my degree, a good job and was able to take care of my child with no problems. She said I owed her for the life I have now….I moved out at 17 and took care of MYSELF….mind you, this is the same woman that told me she wished I would’ve died instead of my older sister when I was 14 and I never even lived with her to be considered a burden……personally, my mother HATES me fr.

When I turned 17 my mom was trying to make me pay. She had all these dumb rules I had to follow, she wouldn’t pick me up from work and I was pregnant. I ended up getting my own place. My brother got a girl pregnant at 16 and she rolled out the red carpet for him and her 😤😢

As the younger generation. charge them rent from 18 while they work 250 a month that’s 9k in 3 years it’s not for you you’re supposed to give it back. When they move out. Make sure they also have a savings so they get used to putting money up for rent an having a savings it build financially structure and a since of discipline. Give them real world problems at home.

Soo my mom charged me rent to “teach me responsibility”. She kept every penny put it in an account and gave it to me when I moved out so I had a nest egg 🥹 the ONLY acceptable way to charge your children
