The problem is that the reported speed is outside the expected range or does not respond logically as engine operating conditions change. That distinction is important because P2579 does not automatically mean the turbocharger itself has failed. ✔️ **Check Live Turbo-Speed Data** Monitor turbo speed while engine speed and load change. The reading should respond smoothly and logically. Sudden unrealistic changes or values outside manufacturer specifications can indicate a sensor or signal problem. ✔️ **Inspect the Speed Sensor** Check the sensor for physical damage, contamination or excessive heat exposure. Where applicable, also verify that the sensor is installed correctly and positioned as specified by the manufacturer. ✔️ **Check Wiring & Electrical Supply** Inspect the connector and wiring harness for corrosion, loose terminals, heat damage, broken conductors or poor previous repairs.
