Woah woah. We go by south and north not east or west. Barlavento and Sotavento. The volcano is in the island of Fogo underneath it’s connected to the island of Brava. Also Guinea-Bissau and the Republic of Cabo Verde was once one country. The Portuguese aren’t the first one, the Greeks have records of the archipelago existing way before then, so did Senegambia/ Mali/ Mauritania/ and Morocco.
