Everybody saying they thought John Stamos wrote this needs to watch the episode of full House, where The Beach Boys give Jesse the rights to forever. In the show, they are very honest and clear about the fact that it is a Beach boys song.

One of my favorite Beach Boys song. Dennis’ voice wasn’t perfect and for me that made his performances of Forever so much more vulnerable. Love it. I’m a funeral director, I plan for this to be played at my funeral.

If you remember the episode with the beach boys & Uncle Jesse, Uncle Jesse said he'd give anything to record a song like Forever and the beach boys gave him permission to record it.

If Dennis could have overcome his addictions, I think he would have gone on to rival his brother Brian at song composing
