Thank you for sharing and speaking about how limited care is for pigs. I met a rescue pig that was at an accredited zoo that had epilepsy and not a single zookeeper or vet was familiar with the presentation in pigs. It took a long time to figure out what he'd been going through after leaving the zoo and moving to rescue because even if you find a vet that treats them, there still is much to learn about them it seems. Once I started volunteering with pigs at an animal sanctuary, I saw how little research into their health had been done because their lives aren't valued since they are seen as a "lower livestock". So again, thank you for sharing the struggles they face with care. I hope you get the love of a pig again someday!

If you ever get another pig, find an older FFA teacher at a school near you. The one we had when our kids were in high school knew so much about pigs and their health problems.

Thank you for sharing. It’s so hard to learn this mostly because there was little resources to try and help him. You did your very best as did the vets trying to treat him and at the end of the day you gave him the grace to let him go. I miss his silliness and his tippy taps and little tail. 🥹🐷❤️🩹
