I will support and love the people who support and love me. I will let God judge them as he is the only one whose judgment I will accept upon me.

Am I misunderstanding something here? How is a marriage between 2 Protestants valid but 1 Catholic and 1 Protestant not valid?

You are wrong. I will go to the ceremony and the dance. 💃🏽 and if my parents didn’t go to my wedding, I wouldn’t talk to them again. Good thing my parents are kind and loving.

My husbands cousin converted to Islam to marry a Muslim girl, he was catholic. We refused to go to the wedding and his family was furious with us. I couldn’t grasp how they didn’t comprehend us not going.

father, I had a child out of wedlock and in sin. My Catholic priest did baptize my son and put holy oil on him he got from his trip to Israel. The priest gave me the cloth he had and said, give him this on the day of his marriage or if he becomes a priest. I don't know how this priest knew, but my son who's now 18, has a girlfriend but is so involved in the church and I've never heard this boy say a curse word and is such a good person. Keep in mind his dad isn't the greatest person in the world. I'm a sinner and yet my boy has this "shield" from sin or doing wrong. My question is, even though my boy was born because of sin, is his soul marked?

Everybody is Catholic UNTIL someone who KNOWS reminds them about the positions of the Catholic Church. By OBEDIENCE, Catholics must follow this

If I did all the Catholic sacraments but decided to no longer be Catholic, does this rule still apply?

I am a catholic and my wife is a baptist. We have been married for 62 years. From what you just said I have been living in sin for 62 years. Is there a way to fix this ??

Does he mean that the Roman Catholic Church does not recognize a marriage between a Roman Catholic and a Protestant as canonically valid, or does he mean that God Himself does not recognize them as truly married?

Since the Catholic Church doesn't recognize same-sex marriages, is someone who was in a same-sex marriage and then got divorced considered by the Catholic church as never having been married, i.e. able to get married to someone of the other sex? Since I know divorced people can't usually get re-married without an annulment

Father, I tried to send you a message, but TikTok said my message was not within their guideline, which is strange because I simply asked whether I needed confession so my message did not send

So if Protestants do have valid marriage, then why is a Catholic not permitted to undergo that sacrament outside of the Catholic Church. I may just not be understanding.

I purposely did not pursue an annulment despite grounds and remarried. I did not want to trigger my ex nor hurt my children further and so to me it was a lesser of two evils. I was married the second time for 26 years until my husband died.

Wasn’t clandestine marriages accepted by God? Only up until 1563 Council of Trent did they established canonical form. So does that mean everyone married before that was living in sin? This is all so confusing.
