I got told “you got the rest of your life to work” yet when I was at the gas station a few months back I saw my old principle he said “you did pretty damn good kid after you graduated” only thing I said back was “sports wouldn’t have put me in this position” bc they woudnt have.

I’m one of the best line leads they have I quit 2 months after my nana passed cause if I’m honest the world collapsed onto me and it felt like it wasent worth it to get up got my job back and I’m working back up to line lead

I think what schools don’t know is not everyone is gonna wanna sit at a desk with a computer like we all don’t want office jobs but thanks they prepare you for office factory work school hasn’t changed but everything else has only thing that has changed is we can go to school with black people wow what a change we are evolving but school isn’t I want them to teach us important stuff not teach whatever they want

Now I’m an exhausted adult because In school I was working 3 jobs freshman year to help pay bills. On and off being homeless. But to my teachers I was just a kid with an attitude who didn’t care about school. They never thought I’d graduate. Yet I graduated with a 4 month old on my hip; walked with my original class with 4 extra credits. Now I’m still working 3 jobs, building my own business, survived a DV relationship, and back in school for law to achieve the best life for my child so he doesn’t live like I did…. Keep up the good work! Your hard work repays you!
