The least moral people are the ones policing everyone with their own morals. Morals are 100% subjective, or else it would be law, but people treat morals as law. If morals were true to human nature, then they would be the same no matter what culture you’re in or observing. The super-moralists are just the same as the people burning people on a stake for being witches back in the day. «bad» morals might make someone unlikeable, but focusing your life on morals is just the same as being super religious, and its super ironic comming from people who claim to be anti-religion at the same time

Exactly and it just makes people get defensive and even more entrenched in their views. Respectfully engaging makes people far more likely to listen and consider other opinions.

It’s because people are sheeps and just follow what they believe they should follow without knowing why. So when their worldview gets questioned, the sheeps can’t can’t counter with sound reasoning because they don’t know why they have the beliefs that they have.. so they just try to shame and insult, instead of explaining why they are right and the other person is wrong.

Every time I leave a comment on a video, someone responds to it with something utterly moronic. Eg I’ll say a jokey comment and someone will respond explaining to me how I’ve misunderstood basic concepts. Starting to think it’s often just young kids tbh
