The tribal funerals I have been to taught me a lot. They are 4 days long and burried at sunrise. Their are grief guidelines and stages. At every funeral they said "your body will lay here dead someday and your family is going to cry like this family is here for this relative who is on their death journey. We eat and dance around the body for days. one year later gather again for a memorial when people are released from mourning.

My kids dad died immediately after my life fell apart. I was angry for a long time. I still am sometimes. His kids still need him. But my deconstruction has helped me deal better. Mostly because religion no longer interferes with my natural “gifts” and I still have a relationship with him. And will until I join him.

Thank you for this 🙏💗 my father die many years ago when I was young of cancer and he was an incredible loving father and to this day I still feel him near me. I have had along the years many vivid dreams with him, he is young healthy in his 20's always smiling joyful. The dreams are so very vivid real as if he has never die.

Make friends with death, death is going to take everyone's loved one. It is supposed to happen. Colonized societies make death of a baby or child worse by resisting their belief it shouldn't happen. It was normal to have a child die, almost every ancient mothers had at least one child die.
