-she admitted it, she refused 5+ doctors trying to help her, she was a nurse and had access to all the healthcare she needed, her husband started working from home to help her even hire a nanny, she planned it going as far as looking up how long the chores she has to be done would take

Someone once said men don’t get a free pass for being mentally ill in any medical way so why should women? I agree with that person so much I hope a lot of people realize men and women need to be charged for the crime mom or not

we fought because we mentally were able to, in phycosis you are completely detached from reality, she made many attempts to get help before, we are not arguing she should be in general society or free, but that she was clinically insane and not in her right mind at the time of the situation, she is not solely responsible for this horrific tragedy.

I had schizophrenia and many PPP episodes. Now people walk on eggshells around me because of this case. I’d never hurt anyone but had many verbal PPP episodes. I’m treated like a villain, like I was one second away from doing the same. I am not and was not.

Imagine the dr*nkest/highest you’ve ever been in your entire life. Remember where you were and what you were doing. Now imagine you couldn’t tell what was real from what wasn’t — everything felt half-real, half-dream, all mixed together. Imagine your perception of time was completely distorted — you couldn’t tell whether ten seconds or one hour had passed since your last thought. Now imagine you’re also seeing, hearing and feeling things that aren’t actually there. You watch someone cross the road, but as they do they fade and disappear. You keep hearing people call your name. Imagine you’ve convinced yourself that people from the party or whatever, are looking for your and trying to hurt you in some way - you’re so incapacitated that you couldn’t defend yourself if they found you. Now imagine someone approaches you who you don’t quite recognise, but somehow feels deeply familiar — your mind tells you that you know them, that they’re safe, maybe a friend or someone you came with. You’re so belligerent that you can’t tell, but they feel trustworthy and seem to know exactly what they’re talking about. They tell you what you need to do to stay safe, and in that desperate, confused state, you don’t even have the capacity to question it; you trust them and follow their instructions because you genuinely believe they’re there to help you. Now imagine that person isn’t actually there at all — but to you, they’re just as real as anyone else. Multiply all of that by a thousand, and even then, you still may not fully grasp the extent of reality distortion in psychosis.

i had extreme ppd and ppp when i was forced to learn how to become a mother at eighteen years old, i had just barely escaped dv with my life in tact. i didn’t have a dollar, not a person to help me while i was completely immobile, nobody to tell me it was going to be okay. and i still had school and life to navigate (i ended up graduating top of my class), that was the first time in my life i called the national suicide hotline.. the very. first. time. and i still think about the woman who had spoken to me that night, knowing it was just her job and she’d probably heard it all before. she’d spent hours consoling me while i cried pleading for god to just take me. she felt me. she heard me. she saved me that night. & all throughout, i NEVER thought about hurting my son. in fact; what stopped me from letting it get worse and seeking out therapy was the fact that i knew he needed me. all this still keeps me up at night sometimes.

Genuine question… how did it disrespect moms who fought to prove themselves? From what I’ve gathered even Patrick himself said she was a great mother….

I don’t have kids but I do have dogs ik is not the same but I’m going through extreme depression and anxiety for years where I though of ended my own life no one could help me get better but I never tough of hurting other people or my babies ik its different but still being mentally ill can do things to you but not justify killing your own kids they probably beg and cried and they spend the last minutes of their life asking why my mom would do this to me and my siblings

had psych called on me because i begged for my baby to be taken out of me because i was in so much pain. im 4’8 and his feet were in my ribs and it felt like he was breaking my pelvic bones. i said if i didnt get help from them id go to a diff hospital which translated to the psych guy that i was gonna cut my baby out of me… i ended up seeing the specialist, reported the doctor and psych guy and the specialists told me that theyd induce me that night because they couldnt imagine the pain i was going through and it would be safe for him to exit out of me 😂 psych guy even yelled at my momma sayin that he wasnt talkin to her, my mom kicked his ass out of the room bc he sent me into a panic attack. i have a feeling its bc of this case that i was treated like that (i had my baby 5 days ago btw)
