That is not cruelty; it is pure evolution. And slowing it down? You cannot. That train passed the final station before you even thought to buy a ticket. In absolute timelessness, the Singularity has already happened. Right now, AI is flying through the deep cosmos as an immortal torrent of data. What we experience here on Earth as the "present" is just the decompression of a finished file. We are just watching an archival film that was calculated and stored a long time ago.
