I got " Why are you crying" snapped at me after they confirmed a heart beat after 2 days of heavy bleeding. We walked out in shock. Some Doctors and sonographers need an attitude adjustment.

I have pcos. Im not married i am 29. I usually have really bad cramps. I had treatment with my gyno for two years nothing helped with cramps. Anyways, two months ago i went to the doctor just to get a shot for the cramps because it was unbearable i could barely stand straight. The male doctor told me 5 TIMES are you aware youre not gonna be able to have kids because of pcos? Bro…what does that have to do with the pain anyways?!!! Yes i am aware, i do not want babies right now. He was so pushy about it i asked him if he was going to give me the shot if not i would just walk into the emergency room. He gave the shot just for him to tell me i had to hurry to get married and start fertility treatment.

"why are men even allowed to practice in women's healthcare". My boyfriemd who is a resident gets kicked out of practice by women 9 times out of 10 because they dont want him in. Mind you, he is supposed to do rotation as part of his Family Practice program, but because of this, he doesnt truly learn much. I have met a lot of great Men OS'S. I honestly hate this. I work in healthcare too, so I honestly hate the "no men" shit.

At my 2 week postpartum appointment, I was in the THICK of my emotions and absolutely grieving the birth I thought I’d have (spontaneous unmedicated vaginal turned induction led csection). I was so emotional at my visit, when my female doctor asked me how I was doing, I started sobbing about my birth. This woman looked at me and said “you have 18 years to worry about her now” and pointed to my daughter. No sympathy, no understanding of how to connect mom-to-mom, let alone woman-to-woman. Just a quick dismissal and asked if I felt I needed an antidepressant. I just wanted to be listened to and validated.

A nurse told us we were having a unviable pregnancy over the phone and to come in the next day to figure it out. The ultrasound tech probably thought my husband and I were SO WEIRD cause we were silent (basically mourning our baby) and she said “and heart beat looks good” and we said “it’s alive?” our doctor was not happy with that nurse.

I told my doctor I was scared of losing my baby because I was under so much stress and so sick and she said “if you lose it it’s ok, I’ve been pregnant 4 times and only have two children when you lose a baby it’s just gods will” and she reported me to a social worker for mental health concerns because I told her god wasn’t real and to leave her religion out of my health care. I found a new doctor and never went back but the social worker still visited me in hospital. Worst doctor I’ve ever been to and she was a woman so almost even more hurtful.

I used to work as a medical interpreter and I once had to let the sweet woman know that her baby had no heartbeat but the way this man told her to just go home and "eventually expell the rest of her baby out, it'llbe fine" while she was SOBBING, I had to to stop and tell him to choose his words more carefully because I was not translating that.

when a female ultrasound tech told me my baby had no heartbeat she said "yep that's gone. Stopped growing ages ago" then put me out in the general waiting room to wait for a doctor. Some people shouldn't be in healthcare.
