Reading enneagram books from authors like Oscar Ichazo, Claudio Naranjo, Beatrice Chestnut and self-reflection, yay! :D But ofc, who actually buys the books, right? 🤣 We're all too broke for that (at least me ;-;), so we lwk use linktrees and pdfs. People saying typology linktrees are right! But then they proceed to not drop any links... ANYWAYS linktr.ee/ichazo That one has Claudio Naranjo's books (Except the enneagram 8 book, unfortunately). Naranjo is not the creator of enneagram, but he like expanded the theory by adding the instictual variants, which lead to the creation of enneagram subtypes! And when you go to the typing part, I have some tips for you! > Don't type yourself based on your behavior, but on the REASON behind your behavior. > Do NOT type directly from the descriptions of subtypes. You go by triads first! There's the gut triad (8, 9, 1), the heart triad (2, 3, 4), and the head triad (5, 6, 7). When you find out which triad fits you more, you find which passion and fixation from one of the enneagram cores you align more to before jumping to the subtypes part

in all seriousness i’d recommend reading through these pdfs: https://www.reddit.com/r/Enneagram/comments/1p9dvrd/compilation_english_translations_of_naranjos/ remember enneagram is a psuedoscience concept and moreso something people use to contextualize their behaviors, motives, and flaws stemming from childhood rather than simply a fun hobby. https://interesthings-ygt.github.io/AugmentedPersonality/Multifactor%20Enneagram.html here’s a decently accurate test you can take to get a general idea of which enneagram aligns with you best. keep in mind tests aren’t entirely accurate and it is far more consistent to just type yourself based off research, but if you are truly indecisive then this will help narrow things down. a good basis to start off is whether you find yourself relating to the heart triad (e2, e3, e4), the head triad (e5, e6, e7), or the gut triad (e8, e9, e1) better. depending on whichever one you find yourself behaving like the most, start by reading there to help narrow your choices down best of luck typing!!
