I have celiac too and I also get very sick. Have you considered getting her a Nima tester?? I honestly don’t even travel because I’m so scared of getting sick away from home.

Poor girl, thats the WORST!!! Before I really understood eating out with celiac, we went to a local restaurant with gf pasta. I was SO sick. The cook the gf pasta in the same pasta water as reg pasta 😭

“Steamed veggies” are not always safe either. We have learned that the hard way. Some are cooked with regular pasta water unfortunately.

I’m so sorry this happened to your daughter :( I’m gluten intolerant (not celiac) and I was glutened on day 1 of a 5 day carnival cruise. It ruined the entire trip. It was horrible!

I have celiac disease. On top of that dairy corn and soy make me extremely sick as well. My daughter is anaphylatic to shellfish and fish. My son can only tolerate baked dairy and egg… that being said the looks I get when I order and am just trying to keep all my family alive and healthy.

I’m with you kiddo. We all have celiac too and it’s rough. Every time we eat out. Every single time. Even GF spots. The cross contamination is no joke.

I was diagnosed when I was 8 (21 years ago) and I was sick every single day prior to diagnostics and seeing your daughter like that on the floor reminded me so much of me at that age. Im so sorry she has to go through this, being glutened can be so traumatic. It is so hard to trust restaurants, sending healing thoughts her way ♥️♥️

sounds so much like my daughter. she gets so sick and I feel so sad for her. Disney Cruise has been amazing for her. they truly went above and beyond for her to feel normal.
