JAPAN HAS JUST TEST-FLEW THE CRAZIEST LOOKING MILITARY PLANE OF ALL TIME! ✈️🚨 The Japan Air Self-Defense Force just officially kicked off operational flight testing for its brand-new electronic warfare platform, known as the XEC-2 Stand-Off Jammer! Aviation geeks and plane spotters around Gifu Air Base are already losing their minds over this thing, instantly nicknaming it the "Platypus" because of its bizarre, oddly shaped nose cone! But that giant nose isn't for looks. The XEC-2 started its life as a standard, twin-engine Kawasaki C-2 military transport plane. Japan then completely gutted the airframe and packed it full of highly classified, domestically produced electronic warfare tech. On top of the platypus nose, they slapped two massive, bulbous domes right onto the spine of the fuselage, and attached huge, matching radar humps directly onto the sides of the tail. This thing is designed to act as a massive, flying invisible shield! By utilizing the J/ALQ-5 electronic countermeasures system, the XEC-2's sole mission is to fly just outside of enemy airspace and blast out massive waves of electromagnetic jamming. It can completely blind enemy air defense radars and disrupt communication networks, creating a safe corridor for Japanese fighter jets to slip through. During its historic first operational test flight, the plane used the radio callsign "BOXER" and was tracked flying over the western Pacific while an indigenous F-2 fighter jet flew right alongside it as a chase plane to record the data! Electromagnetic warfare is becoming the ultimate deciding factor in modern high-tech conflicts, and Japan just built a monster to control the spectrum! 🛩️🛑 #XEC2 #KawasakiC2 #MilitaryTech #AviationNews #ElectronicWarfare
