I started my visit to EYE EYE with a free personalized styling session where they looked at my face, coloring, features and personal style to help find glasses that actually complement ME. It felt so personalized and I can easily say this was the best eyewear experience I’ve ever had. EYE EYE San Diego Optometry is a new independent optometry practice and eyewear boutique in Bankers Hill, and the space is SO cute. This is the type of spot you would expect to open in Los Angeles, or New York, so getting one in San Diego is a huge deal. You can get a full eye exam using advanced diagnostic technology, then shop their curated collection of independent designer frames handpicked from around the world. And these are not your typical glasses. They have frames made from actual upcycled vinyl records, where you can literally see the record grooves in the frames. They also carry Snekevision, an eyewear line created by veteran graffiti artist Sneke One that brings together graffiti, hip-hop, street culture and vintage eyewear. You’ll also find designers like Japan’s YUICHI TOYAMA and EYEVAN, ANDY WOLF, AHLEM, Veronika Wildgruber, RES/REI, MOSCOT, CAZAL, Coco and Breezy, Thierry Lasry, Kuboraum, Jacques Durand and so many more. I loved that the whole thing felt like a styling session, eye care appointment and designer shopping experience all in one.
