That’s one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it, is that ambitious people seek other ambitious people. Looks may become secondary to shared values. Highly educated women may prefer to partner with educated men. Why did you think it was about financial gain instead of looking at it as peers finding each other? Surely that’s a painstakingly long winded way of proving biases you have about yourself and others? Is it the same concept when you like beautiful women? Are you wanting to gain sexually from their company?
