No, back in the days it was a sweet a** truck, especially with the Caterpillar and the Peter built and a 13 speed. There wasn't nothing that couldn't do. I could go through the grapevine and only drop. Maybe 1 or 2 here, with 80000 pounds on no😎 sweat.

been there and done that for many years in a 77 Freightliner cab over. it had a 1693 Caterpillar rated at 425 horsepower and 2300 foot pounds of torque .
