There’s a difference between sabr & abuse in Islam, isn’t tells you to have sabr not let allow yourself to be abused in the name of sabr… don’t allow someone to keep treating you a certain way thinking they’ll stop at some point, they won’t stop you’ve given them motivation to do more & worse cause now they know much you’ll allow them to disrespect you

This is exactly what I will NEVER teach my daughter. “Sabr karna” for harsh words. “Sabr karna” if they control where you go, who you meet, how you sit, how you live. But where does her sabr end? Because today it’s “do bol sun lo.” Tomorrow those words get harsher. Then the control gets tighter. And sometimes, words turn into hands. Sabr is not teaching our daughters to tolerate mistreatment so a marriage can survive. I would rather raise my daughter knowing when to speak, when to stand up for herself and when to come home. Our daughters are not being raised to suffer quietly just because generations of women before them were told to. ❤️
