America just needs to rip the bandaid off and launch a full invasion of Mexico to clear the cartel out and put military bases to secure the country for foreign direct investment. This would not only help with less drug and human trafficking, but it would finally allow a secure country for friendshoring from China. As capital begins accumulating, many Latinos will not feel inclined to sneak into America but also many Latinos here will just go home voluntarily. Less drugs, less dependence on China, less illegal migration. Simon bolivar even admitted the Americas (meaning post Spanish colonies) were entirely ungovernable, so America should preserve its national identity and do the governing for them rather than have America become a Latin American country.
