The engine is bigger than the cabin, it’s just insane Interesting fact: the creators of the Countach used a revolutionary layout called "LP" (Longitudinale Posteriore). They flipped the massive V12 engine longitudinally, but placed the gearbox directly inside the cabin—it was located in the central tunnel between the driver and the passenger. Because of this, the gear lever stuck straight out of the floor, and the driveshaft ran back through the engine oil pan to the rear differential.
