Reconciliation for me means, my nervous system being all messed up again from the emotional abuse, crying, wondering. I’m over it. I can’t handle anymore. 4 years of this is enough. Now she has lost custody of her 1.5 year old. Not my fault but she sure blames me for it.

I’m so close to doing this. I’m grovelling and begging fir a connection when she tells me she feels nothing for me, doesn’t want a relationship with me, but I gave her nothing but trauma her entire life. Yet she demands that it’s a mother‘s responsibility to keep reaching out no matter what the response. Perhaps it’s time listening to her words.

I couldn't care less if my son ever comes back to me,was nothing but stress,headaches,more work and no respect, I love my life now im living it to the fullest,got money to spare and not having to deal with disrespect,hope life works out well for him!

I’m so glad this behavior wasn’t a fad when my mother was alive because I was such a rotten kid, I definitely would have pulled this crap. Now that she’s been gone almost 20 years, it’s hard to remember why I was so angry with her.

I’m trying to help my parents through this with my brother. Hes a VET and needs help but won’t get it. My mom may drive me nuts at times, but they are my parents. They put a roof over my head, broke their back to make sure I had dresses for dances and a lot of other things. I will never let anyone disrespect my mom and dad like that.

No contact helped me remember the absolute horror that being married to their father was! I realised he’s a covert narcissist and he followed through with the years of threats to take them from me. It took him 15 years, but he did it. It’s been 6 years since the estrangement, I’ve been happy for the last year. I’m all good! 😁

it's a 2 way street..I didn't play the freezing out game when they were children and I sure as hell ain't gonna play it now. I love my kids and they know it and they love me..I parented them hard as a single mom..now I get to reap the reward of being best friends with my kids ❤️❤️

I have went to counseling I have wrote them letters expressing my feelings how I was sorry for any wrongdoing on my part that I didn't know I did I expressed how I deeply love them with all my heart and I told him how they hurt me but I also am not waiting for a knock at the door I do not care to rekindle the relationship with me and my adult estranged children I am happy with the life I have it's me and my husband and we are just fine we don't have to worry about buying diapers wipes worrying about their drama we are consent and we have come to terms with they're going to need us for we need them, and so I have moved on with my life and I don't have time for their drama or any of their problems they've been not a problem for almost 7 years now so therefore they can continue to be not a problem for me and my husband and when I die they better not come running cuz I ain't got nothing for him rekindling a relationship isn't happening Mama's moved on Mama's got a new attitude and a new way to do things and it isn't have anything to do with those adult estrange children I have got my things together and I am Gucci so therefore bye Mama was at one time I'm going to give you a chance but now that chance that door has closed there is no chances left with Mama....
