Let’s be honest, will spending $500 on a toothbrush actually make you brush better? And can you skip flossing now? I’m not convinced. And this “product” is no different than many products on the market, but with the added “benefit” of AI. I have always hated combination water pik/electric toothbrushes. They are terrible at both. I also do not want you washing away the fluoride of your toothpaste. I also hate that water “flossers” are marketed as a replacement for flossing WHICH IT IS NOT. It is an ADJUNCT to brushing! To get between your teeth, and below the gum, you need to use floss, soft picks, or proxabrushes. I like water piks for patients in braces, those with implants, and those with large gaps in their teeth. But it does not replace flossing. Also, I have seen many patients use mouthwash in their normal water piks. It dries and clogs it up. This will be no different. And my biggest problem with all combo brushes— it washes away your fluoride. I can’t justify this toothbrush. It does not add anything new to help patients. It’s just expensive. Get a $30 electric toothbrush. Or a $1 manual one. Floss is $3.
