Current positioning: CME states a 92% Probability of a Rate Hike Which is up 59% week over week How we got here: Kevin Warsh (Fed Chairman) said at Jackson Hole that inflation is still the concern. Jobs came at 162,000 vs 55,000 expected. Friday's core CPI came at 0.3% vs 0.2% expected. Oil near $100. Crucially this raise is already priced in the charts/ markets So Here Is What I Am Looking For, The Chairman can say three things: 1. "No further rate raises" → Dollar down, Gold up. 2. "More raises are coming" → Dollar up, Gold down. 3. "FED will watch the data" → Expect consolidation, no directional bias Key point: This chairman does not tell the market his next move.
