4x+5 must equal to 4x+11 and 4x+1 what should we add to 4x+5 to make it 4x+11? It's 6, since 4x+5=11 then we also add 6 to both sides so 4x+11=25 the same can be done for 4x+1 you subtract 4 to both sides to make it 4x+1=15 so 25/15=5/3✓
