Horror has always kept butts in seats at the theater. We need that with comedy more. And rom coms. I WANT GAL PAL DATES

The odyssey was basically Nolan’s take on a horror movie too

I love going to the movies!!! Some of my best memories are seeing them on the big screen. I literally never get that feeling watching a movie at home, even if it is fantastic! Keep movies alive!!!

Lesson 4 is the real reason Supergirl failed. The source material is AMAZING and they butchered the adaptation. Make it GOOD and word of mouth would have elevated it.

Yeah people love Spider-Man but it also wasn’t a senseless cash grab there was a story to tell and it was executed perfectly!! It’s about heart and passion

I saw Project Hail Mary in the theater four times over the course of three months, and every single time, the theater was damn near packed. Make a fantastic movie like that, butts will be in the seats

I think it’s simpler than that. People want to see great movies. The profitable movies were great, the ones that tanked were not. People don’t go to the movies 4 times a month if many of the movies aren’t good - they only go see the great one. They don’t go see a movie twice or more unless it moves them, and they don’t bring their friends and family or tell them to go - unless it’s worth recommending.

I feel like the horror thing is that no matter if it's good or bad, it's at least going to take a wild swing of creativity and people like original ideas

I’d extend it beyond directors too. None of my (gen z) friends are swayed by the name of a director or the name of an actor. You have to sell the movie as a movie. Juxtapose that with my dad (late boomer) and if you ask him about a movie the first thing he’ll tell you is who’s in it instead of what it’s about

not a horror fan but i think it's a "safe bet" genre bc generally even a bad horror movie is an enjoyable movie (it becomes ironic and/or funny)

ZenMatter 🏳️🌈 :
Comic books and science fiction used to be where divergent, subversive, or even progressive ideas were most often expressed. Horror has taken the forefront of that expression and is why the genre has more diversity in themes and expression these days

I feel like people want good movies, but also people are WAY less likely to see any movie they don’t think they’ll love. A movie is $20 a ticket, I used to go to movies I thought I might like, now I only go see movies I know I’ll love
