I’m not a nurse but I work in a hospital. One day I was going to quit, but our maintenance guy pulled out the grill and made homemade hamburgers in the courtyard. So I stayed. Still here 4 years later 😂

I worked in homes for a long time. nursing homes, a home for the mentally disabled. I almost worked at a asl home for doctors who had, had a mental breakdown, until I figured I probably belonged in one hahahaha. it took me a lot of studying and a lot of therapy to recognize i needed to care for myself, and I couldn't give any more to other people, because I was dying on the inside, helping the dying on the outside. the lack of help. the lack of compensation. the inside drama. its burnout within month one these days. I had to step away
