I recently learnt that the reason why the word “YAHWEH” was given to God is because the actual Hebrew word when pronounced sounds like someone breathing out…so the word YAHWEH came about so that we may be able to actually pronounce it. THAT made me start seeing God as breath…which helps with meditation too. I think of the Holy Spirit in this way too since God and the Holy Spirit are one 🥰

Makes sense if breath is life force then holy spirit being life force adds up

Just stumbled on your videos and love your perspectives! You are so smart and articulate! As a cradle catholic I think I’m realizing I’m actually more “woo woo” but still (dare I say) like some of the history/traditions of the church and its just so cool and thought provoking to hear your take on things!

unfortunately most Christians dont understand the Holy Spirit in this way as most arent correctly taught about the Holy Spirit's role, but you are 100% correct. In Christian Theology, the Holy Spirit is Ruach (Hebrew) and Pneuma (Greek) which both translate to wind/breath/spirit... when you look at it from a trauma recovery lens, it helps to make sense how and why breathework is SO important. awareness, presence, and embodiment 🥰

This is so interesting!! I love this interpretation so much, I’ve deconstructed my Christian faith and am trying to reconstruct something now. I think this paired with the fact Jesus literally says I am the body and now the spirit can be breath might help my meditation, which I’ve historically been shit at lol thanks again for your videos :)
