I been here 2 years my plans were to stay many more years. New landlord new software. 1 st month system won’t let me pay. Text him and he corrects problem. Payment accepted. 2 nd month system returned my payment. Landlord refuses to acknowledge problem. He refuses to communicate until past due. Now fees are added. I have no way to pay so I got cashiers check but I don’t know where to send it. Past due fees are adding up. Now he is more interested in collecting past due fees. He even called my daughter in a different state. I am disabled

If you want this to be clear upfront put in the advertisement that you will be there for move in. I’d swipe right past it. Telling someone this after they have spent the time to view the property is a shit love and definitely need to say this before signing

I’ve seen my Landlord 1 time in ten years . I have had to replace washer , dryer , and the refrigerator and no walk through ten years ago !!!

Negative. A landlord should do their own walkthrough and documentation prior to lease signing. Once I lease it, it’s mine until the lease is up. I will, of course, have a duty to maintain and care for the property and let the landlord know promptly if there are any problems. Outside of that, the landlord is not a part of my household. If the landlord wants to oversee the move-in process, they better be a part of the move-in process.
