@women_helping_women: Lindsay Clancy’s case has us talking about postpartum psychosis and mental illness. But what happens when the mother is Black? And why has the lone Black juror who refused to agree with the majority become part of the story? I’m not saying race proves bias. I’m asking whether race influences how we interpret these tragedies. Same horror. Same mental illness. Same standard? Let’s talk. #LindsayClancy #PostpartumPsychosis #BlackWomen #CriminalJustice #fyp
It does. The justice system is corrupt but with all people.

You make a great statement. I know the Bible states Tho shall not, kill one of the, Ten Commandments was broken Three times by Clancy. Her mental, medicines , and voices in her head went on trial. The act of what she did was on Trial.

He is not on trial but because he doesn't agree he's being criticized. And yes race does play a part usually no matter the circumstances. This lady probably does have some mental issues but I'm not convinced she was in such a state that caused her to unalive not 1 but 3 children 1 by 1. She needs to be held accountable, even if mentally ill, for her actions. Race should not play a part at all the issue is those innocent children were taken from this earth by the 1 person they probably trusted the most. That juror had the right to not agree with the majority if he did not see the situation the same as them. It seems the public has forgotten children were unalived and they think this woman should not suffer any consequences for her actions . I'm glad he stood his ground there is still hope for justice for those children.

Fatu, that's me, the only one! :
This is a very interesting question. Because it's two-sided .We never heard of Latin women killing their children. But we are always here about white women killing their kids. Some black women killing their children also, but not as much as whitewomen. It's not a day go by children are being killed.

Just like when blacks were suffering in the crack era. The answer was jail. The opioid crisis affected white communities and the answer was rehab.

I agree with you. but I can say this. there was a black woman in 2018 that I'm alive. two children in the same state were tried in the same courtroom and convicted by the same da and sentence by the same judge. she got two life sentences without parole.

This is the exact truth. It's always the black who are the most terrible people. The white never do any wrong, let them tell it. We are scrutinized all the time because of our skin color. It's all about Race.
