@art_dailydose: These drawings do not begin with a pencil. They begin with an equation. 📐 Iranian mathematical artist Hamid Naderi Yeganeh creates birds, butterflies, fish, faces and abstract patterns using mathematics rather than traditional drawing tools. Trigonometric and exponential functions, Fibonacci sequences and sawtooth functions become the building blocks for every curve, line and ellipse. His process moves between discovery and deliberate construction. Sometimes he generates tens of thousands of mathematical curves, searching for shapes that unexpectedly resemble a bird, fish or other living form. He then adjusts the equations until the image becomes clearer. At other times, he starts with a specific subject and builds it step by step, carefully controlling each element through formulas. The result may look organic, but every part can be described mathematically. His artwork 9,000 Ellipses appeared on the cover of a 2017 special issue of The American Mathematical Monthly. A Bird in Flight was later selected for the cover of an Oxford University Press mathematics textbook. Originally from Iran, Yeganeh is currently a PhD mathematics student at UCL in London, where he also works as a postgraduate teaching assistant.
