@hustlersnthehood: In the late '90s, nine theater students at Howard University got accepted into a summer acting program at Oxford. None of them could pay for it. Their teacher was Phylicia Rashad. She went to her friends in the business and asked. One of them covered the whole class and told her to keep his name out of it. Chadwick Boseman went. When he got back there was a beneficiary letter waiting, and that is how he found out it was Denzel Washington. He wrote a thank-you letter and never sent it. He sat on it for about twenty years because he didn't want Denzel thinking he wanted something else from him. He finally said it out loud in 2019, on stage at the AFI tribute, with Denzel sitting in the room. "There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington." Denzel's answer, when Chadwick thanked him in person, was a joke. Yeah, that's why I'm here. Chadwick passed the next year. #HustlersNTheHood
