I asked a restaurant in China if they had coke and they said yes, next thing I know there’s a kid running to the shop next door to get me a coke. I think restaurants are a lot more hospitable and lenient about these things

My dad would have hotpot and I will have McDonald dropped off to me as well as bubble tea from the other food stalls. Waitress even offers me gloves and napkins.

you can even set the delivery location of outside drinks to specific table numbers in the restaurant and the staff would send it to your table too

People just judge others based on their won culture or how things work in their countries. They jump to conclusions too quickly without realizing there’re different rules, habits or customs in other countries.

love this, Australia is quite strict too - very pushy to make extra profit and not lose seating to diners not 100% buying from their business (even when they are ordering other full meals and drinks or seating is plenty)

I was eating at a local vendor- who then mentioned i must try another dish from another store near by- he then went over there- bought me that dish from another vendor- brought back to his place- and put it in his plate for me. Yes- it’s normal around asia. All they care is. You’re here- you’re having a good time with their business _ and that’s what really matters.

I remember seeing the video of the American woman who can only eat oats and formula because of mcas, being told she wasn't allowed to eat her own food in a restaurant even though she was with a party of like 6 people all ordering food. for a restaurant to be so draconian is such a cruel infringement of someones rights.

I would be more likely to go to a restaurant that I liked with my friends if there was the ability for everyone to eat what they liked and one of the party had food restrictions or wanted to eat something else that people in the party didn’t want, or if we fancied something to add to the food we were ordering from the restaurant.

I learnt this when I went to China with my family my little brother is autistic and only liked very few foods and in most places we went to would allow is to take in hot chips and chicken nuggets for him they even gave us plates for his food it was one of the best parts about going there it meant we could go to a restaurant we wanted to and he could eat something as well. I would 100% go back to China again.

I have seen an old person who is clearly a regular customer brought his own small glass cups and a bottle of alcohol to a halal restaurant. The shop owner has no issue. That is faith and social harmony.
